How do paths cross? This is how I crossed paths with Jamie Glaser, and I am so thankful. I loved a band named Glass Moon. I was bike riding, my iPhone was on shuffle and up comes some lyrics that hit my soul. I had heard them a zillion times, and that day it was truth. And I thought, I wanna interview Dave Adams, their main lyricist/lead singer. I searched, and no luck. Somehow I stumbled upon ...

You never know how their day is going. Meeting anyone after days of traveling (and working), you just don’t know. Matt Brooks from Like A Storm was just as friendly and lively as anyone you’d want to meet. He seemed pretty excited to be alive and chasing life’s potential. He was honest and thoughtful. My favorite part of meeting people is when they are nice. Grateful. Pleasant. And empathetic. And that is exactly how I describe the guys in 3 Doors Down. I’m sure that’s what sucked me in from the start, getting all that from gist of their lyrics...searching for a greater understanding of our time together on this here earth. This is from my microphone sit down with the lead singer, main lyric...

Probably my fave guy I've gotten to meet, and know, throughout my traveling microphone time. Each time we dive pretty deep into the ways and means of human existence. Sean reads some interesting articles and books on how/why certain consequences happen. Some are unintended consequences. Many (we think) are because of the pointedly self-serving. Yet those "leaders" speak quite syrupy to the peop...

For years I wanted to interview Justin Furstenfeld. I think I was shot down because either they were too big, or Justin was fully in his addiction mode. I have to believe that we connected at the right time on planet Earth. Such a giving gentleman with his time and his soul. His admitted life was so dark and dank, which makes his new(ly) found gratefulness is so beautiful. He radiates life. And...

What a great day. The day I get to put my traveling microphone in front of the Money Man. We did this during the day at his hotel, before his concert. Friendly, for sure. Timely, yep. Ready to go, you bet. And chatty, just what someone like me hopes for...and with meaning! Reminds me again that you can't take some lyrics for superficial granted. Eddie has songs that have topped the charts, and ...
Rhett Walker of Rhett Walker Band speaking with Frank Jenks.

So I arrive at the venue to find this guy named Rhett Walker, and it took a minute because I had to wade through fans and maneuver backstage-ness. Immediately we were both grumbling ab the same thing...where are we gonna find a spot that’s not filled with interference? We found a bus (not his), and hijacked the rear lounge. This was recorded in Lansing, MI on October 27, 2012. I hope you like t...
Jonny Hetherington/Art Of Dying speaking with Frank Jenks.

I love it when somebody actually takes time to know me, and even better, to remember me. I think that's pretty human. And I think Jonny Hetherington is a pretty special human. Since my first microphone time with the lead singer/main lyricist for Art Of Dying, I was hooked. On the songs. His energy. His positiveness. The deeper-than-you-think lyrics. His smile. His humanness really... We recorde...

I LOVE how Ben doesn’t give away any sort of meaning to the lyrics. It helps keep them relatable and don’t make you feel boxed in when you’re listening because it can apply to any situation or any scenario.

Wise men wonder while strong men die. Honestly, I think of 9/11. Wise men like Tom Brokaw or Dan Rather on the air and stunned. Meanwhile, so many firefighters climbing the stairs knowing they probably weren't coming back...but it's what they did

Interesting. Shaun doesn't believe in God. And then he wants to blame God for screwed up people. God is real. Free will. God doesn't force people to love Him. He doesn't force people to be good.

I've noticed traumatized kids tend to grow up to be creative IF they can find an outlet aside from addiction. I turned to painting/art. I love singing and music, but i can't carry a tune in a bucket. Being in a band (school) was my first outlet. Shaun seems to have found his outlet in writing music and singing, and he and the band have all done an amazing job at it. Their music resonates with me wirh my childhood trauma, sh*t mother, bad relationships and flat out bad decisions over many years. I hope people like Seethers members realize their music genuinely helps people.

Damn! John (& this interviewer) sound so demeaning regarding Steve, especially considering the ONLY reason anyone has any clue who John elefante is is because of WHO he replaced...While VC was a very good album, the demos (w/ Steve singing) are BETTER, and his 2nd release w/ an already established headliner band was garbage!! It also led to their disbanding (his "I left the band" seems very disingenuous)...I was very disappointed to hear John belittling Steve and really over-touting his own importance of this great band that he really had no part of building...
